Users

Types of Users

Users are split into three different categories which dictate what operations the user can perform.

  • System - System Level Users have the ability to generate reports with statistics from all service providers, groups, and users from within the BroadWorks system. System Level Users also have the ability to create other users.
  • Service Provider - Service Provider Level Users have the ability to generate reports with statistics from their assigned service provider as well as all groups and users within that service provider.
  • Group - Group Level Users have the ability to generate reports with statistics from their assigned group as well as all users who belong to that group.

Adding Users

The Users View can be accessed from the User drop down in the Navigation Bar. Only System Level Users can add Users.

  • Username: The new User's username that will be used at login.
  • Name: The name of the new User.
  • Password: The password the new User will use at login.
  • Admin Type: Types of Users
  • Service Provider: Choose the Service Provider that the User is an admin of. This option only appears for Service Provider and Group admins.
  • Group: Choose the Group that the User is an admin of. This option is only available for Group admins.

Once all fields have been filled out, click Save.

Deleting Users

System admins are the only Users who can delete other Users. This operation can be performed by going to the User Page and clicking on the User that is to be deleted. Then press Delete.

Editing Users

System admins are the only Users who can perform User edits. This can be done by navigating to the User Page, selecting the User to be edited, and then click edit. Once editing is complete, click Save to save changes.
